Kerastase Symbiose Haircare

Kerastase Symbiose Haircare Review, photos

The Symbiose Anti-Dandruff Hair Care range is a new launch from Kerastase targeted at balancing the scalp and helps reduce dandruff. The system consists of an Anti-Dandruff Hydrating Shampoo, Scalp Renewal Micro Exfoliating scrub, Silicone Free Hydrating Conditioner, Deeply Hydrating Hair Mask and Night Serum. I tested these out for a few weeks now and here are my quick thoughts. My hair is usually oily at the roots and dry on the ends, but dandruff isn’t a regular occurrence except when seasons change. The Anti-Dandruff Hydrating Shampoo ($40; sephora.com) is a soothing shampoo with a thick, concentrated texture. It is sulfate-free and cleanses without drying the scalp and also doesn't leave a residue behind. I would still recommend a weekly clarifying shampoo when using this shampoo. The Scalp Renewal Micro-exfoliating Scrub ($47; sephora.com) is a deeply exfoliating scrub to be used pre-shampoo. While I haven't used this one yet, I do love most of Kerastase' scrubs and would recommend in place of shampoo on days when you need a squeaky clean. The Silicone-Free Conditioner ($46; sephora.com) is lightweight and is a lighter version of the Deeply Hydrating Hair Mask ($68; sephora.com) which is super rich and thick. It is very moisturizing and something I’d use on regular days too, switching up with any shampoo. The Night Serum ($59; sephora.com) is a nightly treatment that can be left overnight to treat the hair and scalp that also helps add a lot of shine and control frizz. It can be used on dry or towel dried hair. It doesn’t weigh hair down and helps keep the hair and scalp flake free and manageable. Like most other Kerastase products this range smells pleasant and the fragrance liners around in a very non-overpowering way and makes for a luxurious cleansing experience.
