Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Solar Violet

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Solar Violet Review, Photos

L’Eau D’Issey Solar Violet ($126; shop.nordstrom.com) is a new crisp, fruity floral fragrance from Issey Miyake with notes of Pear, Violet and Iris. It's not a heady floral and does not have cloyingly sweet notes either, so a right balance of a fresh fruity floral that is perfect for summer and spring. The opening is more pear and less violet. The violet is subtle and a tad powdery while the pear dries down to a juicy, fresh note. The Iris lingers on until dry down and softens the fragrance while blending with the floral notes. There's also a hint of an aquatic note that makes this great for the summertime. The bottle is gorgeous in pink and the wooden cap adds a beautiful touch. The fragrance was overall quite long wearing on me, yet not too strong and something I would wear all through the year.
