Flora By Gucci Eau de Toilette

Flora By Gucci ($25 -$52), a sophisticated floral fragrance is one of my current favorite scents that I just can't get enough of. I love floral scents in general, but most of them that are described to be a floral either turn out too strong or extremely cloying. Not this one!

I picked up the smaller size of the Eau de Toilette Spray of Flora from Sephora which I think is a really nice way see how it wears on you. Be warned though, the Sephora site lists this as a roller ball, but it thankfully is a convenient spray that you can toss in your bag. As for the scent, I just can't being to describe how amazing it is. It is quite strong initially, but not overpowering at all. It is the perfect scent that has the right mix of sweetness and warmth that I look for in most florals. The EDT lasts about 4-5 hours on me and fades off to a light, crisp fragrance. I detect a very slight hint of citrus which adds to the freshness as it dries down. It is quite a sophisticated fragrance that smells very youthful and feminine at the same time. The 0.25oz spray surprisingly lasts a really long time, inspite of me using a little too much of it every time.

Overall, if you like ultra feminine, playful scents that aren't extremely strong, Flora by Gucci is something you must try. I'll be splurging on the full size once I run out of the spray. Take a whiff of Flora next time you are at a perfume counter and I am sure you'll love it as much as I do!

Visine Soothing Wipes

Visine Soothing Wipes ($6.99) , a ready to use, pre-soaked eye makeup remover wipe made for sensitive skin.  I haven't seen this anywhere in the makeup aisle where drugstores keep most eye makeup removers so, I had no idea Visine made makeup wipes until I tried this out out recently. Turns out, it is a handy little wipe that refreshes and removes dust, makeup and oil, leaving the eye area clean!

Each tub comes with 30 makeup wipes that are thick and soft. They don't seem to be extremely saturated but, there is enough solution in there to remove makeup. When I'm wearing just some kohl and mascara, this cleans extremely well and I just need one wipe for both the eyes. It does struggle with long wear shadows and mascaras but I always reach out for something heavier like an oil, when I need to get those off. Since it is made for sensitive skin, it doesn't sting or dry out my eye area. It doesn't leave it feeling greasy either.

Overall, although I don't reach out to these Soothing wipes all the time, it is a quick and easy solution when I want to get off basic eye makeup. Visine recommends it for contact lens wearers since it does an amazing job of cleaning up dust and other oily residue from the eye area and is perfect to travel with.
