Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Allure

Allure ($26), a dusky rose with gold shimmer is one of many gorgeous pieces from Illamasqua's Generation Q collection.

Allure is a pigment packed blush, perfect for medium/dark skin tones. If you are lighter, go easy by using a stippling blush for a more natural look. The gold shimmer that looks obvious in the pan, doesn't transfer too much once blended. The overall effect is a deep, rosy pink with a nice sheen. There is quite a bit of fallout as the texture tends to be super soft. It leaves behind a natural looking flush once it starts fading, after about 5-6 hours. I do have pretty dry skin and haven't had any blendability issues with this one so far. As for the packaging, I don't absolutely love it and think it would have been better off with a mirror included, but it is quite travel-friendly.

Overall, Allure is a great quality blush and a beautiful shade, perfect for fall and winter. It can be worn light or layered depending on how intense you like it. The shimmer translates to a sheen once on the cheeks, so it doesn't emphasize large pores too much.

Available at select Sephora stores and online at sephora.com
