Mineral Fusion is a mineral based makeup line that is often found at natural health food stores like Whole Foods, with a good selection of skincare, makeup and nail polish. Their newest launch is the Liquid Foundation ($29.99; mineralfusion.com) a full coverage foundation that comes with moisturizing skin ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, pomegranate extract and natural sunscreens.
The shade range is small, but Warm 3 is one that works with my complexion pretty well and matches almost perfectly. The packaging doesn’t come with a pump which is a deal breaker for me. It is medium coverage that can be built up to full. I prefer it sheer since I use a setting powder anyways. The finish is neither matte nor dewy and it blends pretty seamlessly with fingers or with a brush. While not super smooth and silky or overly silicone-y , it still is a good foundation with a nice ingredients list that doesn’t fade or transfer much through the day. I like to use a primer just to even out my skin a little bit for it to glide on. The finish is quite natural looking too and very forgiving on my pores and dry patches.
