Living Proof’s newest launch is their Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo ($22; sephora.com), a new and permanent addition to the Perfect Hair Day line of haircare products. Its a lightweight dry shampoo that absorbs oil, odor and keeps hair smelling fresh with a time-release fragrance technology.
I quite like the spray mechanism in this dry shampoo - its even, doesn’t spritz a lot and can be controlled well. If you have very dark hair, the resiude can look a tad powdery and white initially, so be sure to finger comb or use a paddle brush to comb it through really well. The product is relatively easy to spread and doesn’t feel heavy at all. The time-release fragrance really does work - while the scent can be a tad strong initially, it settles down and keeps hair smelling super fresh all day long. My hair tends to have drier ends and oily roots and this worked well on second and third day hair. It does cut down a little bit of the shine though and adds a matte texture to hair, which goes away once you wash off. There’s no crunchiness and the product does a good job when used with a blow drier as well. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo is also free of Parabens, Sulfates and Pthalates and comes in travel and full sizes.
