Sjal skincare’s luxurious Pearl Enzyme Exfoliating Mask ($80 - $195; barneys.com) is a gentle, yet effective mask that features a combination of powerful complex of enzymes mushroom, pomegranate, papain, bromelain & pumpkin), multi-fruit acids (sugar cane, maple extract, orange and lemon) and Crushed pearl to refine skin texture.
The mask comes packaged in a small jar and a little goes a long way with this mask. It does have a slight scent that isn’t bothersome and washes off with the mask. The texture is a tad gritty and to use, I just apply a small amount all over face and neck, like I would with a physical scrub, leave it on for about ten minutes and wash off. My skin leans towards the dry/sensitive side, so I keep this to once a week, but sjal recommends using it 1-3 times per week depending on your skin type and sensitivity. The mask is like a mini-facial in a jar that brightens, exfoliates really well and leaves skin fresh and firm, without stirpping it of natural moisture. I would still follow up with a good serum/moisturizer for my skin type, but this is amazing at quickly doing the job that combines exfoliation, brightening and refining skin textures into one easy step!
