The Purifying Mask ($65; sephora.com) is a new launch from Tata Harper, a deep cleansing detox treatment for all skin types. The ingredients include Yogurt Probiotics, Brown Algae, Prickly Pear Seed Oi, White Clay, Sandalwood and Olive Oil to name a few. The mask is rather thick, but easy to spread and completely dries when its ready to wash off. The scent is quite strong, but doesn’t linger after washing off. Its quite a balancing mask, that doesn’t leave skin feeling dry and tight after washing off, unlike a lot of other clay based masks. It is very cleansing and brightening and I love to use it on clean skin, post cleanse. It helps skincare penetrate better and leaves a nice glow, while making my pores look tighter, smaller. I do find that it is easier to completely remove using a wash cloth rather than just washing off. The weighty glass jar packaging is beautiful, and although its quite a small jar, a little goes a very long way with this one. Overall, its a very balancing detox mask to try once or twice a week and is a great, non drying one for most skin types!
