New And New To Me Skincare Discoveries From Laura Mercier, Elemis, Vichy, Dermalogica And More!

Another quick roundup of some of my recent  discoveries with some new and new to me skincare bits I've been loving lately.

New And New To Me Skincare Discoveries From Laura Mercier, Elemis, Vichy, Dermalogica And More!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant ($55; ulta.com) - A great exfoliant that I like to use a few times a week on clean skin. I’ve heard great things about this one, although this is my frisrt time trying it out myself. Its a very convinient powder exfoliant that activates with water and works instantly to leave skin very bright and polished. It does leave skin feeling a tad sensitive though, so be sure to use sun protection afterwards. Like all exfoliants. I like this one as part of my evening/night time routine.  I even like this one better than their Superfoliant and think its great for sensitive/dry skin too.

The Stress Positive Eye Lift is new from Dermalogica ($65; ulta.com).  Its a fabulous one to cool, relax and moisturize the under eye area. I love the applicator and the cream itself which is more like a gel-cream consistency and feels super lightweight. I use it twice a day and love the instant lift it gives to my under eye area!

The Dynamic Resurfacing Mask ($7.50; elemis.com) and S.O.S Emergency Cream ($85; elemis.com), both new to me from Elemis. The Dynamic Resurfacing Mask is a quick and easy resurfacing mask that exfoliates and leaves a nice cooling sensation that lasts a few hours. The S.O.S Emergency Cream is a nice multitasking cream to follow up post the mask since it is very nourishing, thick and very calming. I like this duo for when my skin is feeling dull and needs a gentle round of exfoliation without too much irritation.

The Idealia Peeling Radiance Activating Night Peeling Care ($37; vichyusa.com) and Idealia Energizing Cream ($33; vichyusa.com) are both new from Vichy, an exfoliating and moisturizing duo for plump, radiant skin. The Idealia Peeling is a nighttime exfoliating toner that is to be applied before moisturizer. It can sting a little bit because of the exfoliating action, but leaves skin very glowing the next morning. It does feel a tad tacky once it dries though, which is something to keep in mind. The Idealia Energizing Cream is a creamy gel that is great for the summertime and makes for a great non sticky base for makeup since I find most gel based moisturizers to be sticky. This one also sinks in pretty quickly and feels like nothing at all.

The TULA Urban Defense Hydrating Mist ($28; tula.com) is a nice, refreshing midday mist that smells very floral and light. Mists are something I don’t incorporate too regularly in my skincare routine, but they are nice for the summer, especially midday. I like this one on bare skin since it is more of a moisturizing one and if you have oily skin, you could even skip moisturizer.

Kesh Beauty makes some fantastic Argan Oils in the most convenient travel friendly sizes as part of their Argan Oil Travel Pack Plus ($32; keshbeauty.com). They also have blended Argan Oils with Orange Blossom, Rose, Eucalyptus, Lavender Essential Oils and so on. I love the aromatic versions just as much as the plain, 100% Argan Oil. The pack also comes with a small size of the Prickly Pear Seed oil which is a moisturizing oil, much like the Argan one. They are all very moisturizing, great to mix in with creams and perfect on their own as an addition to any nighttime skincare routine. I also love them as cuticle oils since they do the job fabulously without any greasy residue.

I love trying out new cleansers and these two by Laura Mercier have been on my current cleanser rotation. The Flawless Skin Balancing Cream and Gel Cleansers ($29 each; lauramercier.com) are both really nice, non drying cleansers for this time of the year. I like both these as second cleansers and they leave my skin feeling soft, balanced and clean. The Balancing Creme Cleanser is a soft foaming cleanser that is perfect for skin that is dry, leaning towards the combination side, while the Balancing Gel Cleanser is great for combination/oily. I did not find either of these overly drying. They did not feel like they left a residue either. Both very gentle cleansers that won’t strip your skin too much and perfect for after makeup removal.
