The Powermatte Lip Pigments ($26; narscosmetics.com) are NARS’ newest launch and the shades in here are pretty fantastic with a wide spectrum of colors ranging from nudes to pinks, plums, reds and a deep, dark black. I have here the nudes and pinks and a few other easy to wear shades in between. I felt like the pinks were all mostly wearable and they have one for every skin tone and the nudes were all warm and flattering, not too pale. These go on smooth, have a thinner consistency for a matte product and the finish is almost a powdery looking matte that feels moisturizing even though there’s no sheen. I found that these were also super easy to apply because they aren’t very thick (which is a good thing) and very precise because of the applicator shape. They were also very staining, so I had to work faster with a few darker shades. They stay put until you make an effort to get them off and don’t transfer too much, especially the lighter shades.
