The LORAC Alter Ego Hydrating Lip Stains ($19; ulta.com) are a great swipe and go product for anyone who loves a soft sheen, yet a nice pop of color. The packaging is really nice and the product itself is quite hydrating, easy to use and has a really nice satin finish that isn’t too glossy or too matte. I tried out four colors - ,Comedienne, a brownish nude, Breadwinner a terracotta, Pageant Queen a bright plum and Headliner, a gorgeous bright pink. These leave a stain behind and stay on for a good 4 hours. They don’t feel heavy, but they are not the lightest, yet feel quite moisturizing. Comedienne is a great everyday nude that evens out my pigmentation, while Pageant Queen is a great way to wear plum without being too bright. These have great color payoff as well and a beautiful formula that doesn’t even need a mirror for touchups!
