NYX High Glass Powders, New Shades Of Butter Gloss

NYX High Glass Powders, New Shades Of Butter Gloss

A few quick swatches of some newness from the NYX Spring collection. The Butter Glosses ($5; ulta.com) are a great bargain buy that feel non-sticky, pigmented and very smooth. There are a few new shade additions and Cinnamon Roll and Bit Of Honey are a couple of them that are perfect nudes for my skintone. These do have a scent, but they are very moisturizing and great by themselves or to layer. The High Glass Illuminating Powder and Finishing Powder ($12 each; ulta.com) are sheer pressed powders that add subtle highlights without too much shimmer or glitter. They are both like finishing powders but the illuminating powder is a tad more shimmery that adds a subtle sheen without the disco ball effect. I like to use a fluffy, not too dense powder brush with these and just sweep it across the face as the last step. I found these to have a teeny bit of fallout, but they were very blendable, subtle and did not enhance skin texture too much.
