Smashbox Girls on Film Fall 2011

Girls on Film is Smashbox's Fall 2011 launch that comes with a few Limited Edition pieces and value sets. Here's what is part of Girls on Film :  Blush Rush in two shades Pose & Silhouette ($24), Lip Enhancing Gloss in UnderExposed and Over Exposed($18) and Cream Eyeliner and Travel Brush set in Sepia & Blacklight ($28).

Cream Eyeliner & Travel Brush Set in Sepia($28)

"Sepia" is a dark brown with gold glitter that has a thick cream finish which works great for me as an eyeliner & a shadow base for darker shades. It looks quite ordinary in the pan but if you look closer, the gold reflective particles make the color very unique. It comes with a flat stiff eyeliner brush. I like to use this brush on my lower lash line for precise definition. The size is smaller than the usual flat eyeliner brushes so it gives better grip. You can always use a bent liner brush for the upper lash line but, for the shimmer in this gorgeous shade of liner to show up, I would suggest a thicker line else, it might end up looking like just another shade of brown.

Like most cream liners, this is waterproof and stays put for up to 7 hours even on my oily lids. More than anything else, I love the shade & would say this is one of the stand out pieces from the collection & well worth a pick up.

Blush Rush in Silhouette($24)

Silhouette is a peachy rose, matte blush. I've previously reviewed Smashbox Blushes here and from what I see, Silhouette is more on the sheer side. It needed a good 2-3 swipes for the color to show on my cheeks. That being said, the color is nothing short of amazing. There's very minimal fall out and the texture is very smooth and blends like a dream. The peachy rose is perfect for fall and would look very flattering on most skin tones!

Both pieces are Limited Edition, so if you see anything you like, grab them before they're gone! If there is one thing you must pick, it's the cream eyeliner in Sepia. I hope Smashbox adds this shade to their permanent line sometime.

All products are cruelty & paraben-free.

Available now in-stores & online at Sephora & Ulta.
