Lancôme La Roseraie Illuminating Powder - Review, Photos, Swatches & FOTD

La Roseraie Illuminating Powder($42) is a sheer, shimmery blush with a beautiful rose embossing, part of Lancôme's Spring 2012 collection. The shimmer is just an overspray, underneath which is a light pink blush with a beautiful sheen.

The packaging is just lovely and I was so hesitant to ruin the design. The colors can be used individually as a blush/highlight or swirled together. There is quite a bit of fall out from the shimmer and it ends up everywhere when I swirl the colors together so, I had to break though the overspray. The color underneath is a gorgeous rosy pink that gives my cheeks a beautiful glow. I love to pair it with strong eyes or when I have very subtle of everything else going on and need just a little bit of color on my cheeks.

I would recommend a good primer underneath to smooth out pores if you have any and also help boost the staying power. With a good primer, La Roseraie lasted about 6 hours on me. On my skin tone, it is a rather light, sheer blush that looks really natural without being too pink. If you like sheer blushes that can be worn shimmery or add a subtle hint of color, sans the overspray, La Rosarie is just perfect for that.

What are your thoughts on Lancôme's La Roseraie Illuminating Powder?
