Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection - Powder Eye Shadows in Sex and Cancan

The Powder Eye Shadows in Sex and Cancan($20 each), launched as part of the Human Fundamentalism Spring/Summer 2012 collection are permanent additions to Illamasqua's line. Sex is a pure, matte white and Cancan is a matte, Lilac Purple.

Texture wise, the eye shadows are just fantastic. They have no fall-out and blend like a dream. The colors are quite pigmented and very buildable too. Sex, does seem a little chalky on the first swipe but, builds up to a nice, matte white that can be layered over a shimmery white base.

Cancan is a beautiful pastel, lilac that looks great as a wash of color. I like to layer it over a shimmery base since pastel shades tend to wash me out a little. Be sure to add lots of mascara to complete the look. The packaging of these shadows is great too. Very classy and the case seems to be very sturdy to travel with.

Although these shades may not be something that I can wear on a daily basis, there's no denying that the quality is just excellent. They feel very creamy and smooth for a powder shadow and stay on crease free for about 6+ hours with a good primer underneath. You could even transform the colors to a more creamier, opaque finish that is also long wearing, by mixing it with a mixing medium like Illamasqua's Sealing Gel.
