Topshop Nails in Valley

Valley ($10), a light, pastel green loaded with fine silver shimmer is one of Topshop's new additions to their polish line. The silver shimmer that runs through makes the color a little unique in a way. It adds a touch of sheen to an otherwise plain pastel green.

The quality of Topshop nail polishes are pretty amazing. Valley was a little streaky on the first coat but completely opaque after the second one. The consistency was perfect too, unlike a lot of shimmery shades that tend to be thick. The brush is a perfect size for my small nails and the polish dried pretty fast in between coats with no problems with brush strokes or bubbles. The shimmer isn't chunky but there is a lot of shimmer that is very finely milled through the polish. I would recommend using a topcoat, preferably something glossy since the finish looks just a tad frosty after drying completely. Wear-time was about 3 days after which I saw some minor chipping.

Overall, if you like tend to like soft pastels & minty greens, Valley is something you must check out. It is more of a Spring/Summer color though. I absolutely love the amazing quality and the smooth finish of this polish and the Topshop nail polishes in general!

  3. I am usually wary of cosmetics that are released at clothing stores, but this one looks alright. Is it Big 3 Free?
