Becca Eye Tint in Baroque

The Eye Tints ($24) are described perfectly by Becca as "a semi-sheer créme that adorns lids with a soft wash of color." The small, but extremely wearable shade selection is one of many reasons I had to try these out. Packaged in a super convenient squeeze tube, a little goes a long way with these eye tints.

Baroque is a neutral taupy beige that dries to a semi-matte finish and lends a very polished, no-makeup look. The gel-creme consistency spreads easily even on dry lids and doesn't need a primer underneath to stay crease-free. Be sure to shake it well before use though, as it tends to separate a little. I like using a flat shader brush to just pat the color on my lids. Fingers work well too, but the warmth makes the product almost disappear into my skin. A flat brush tends to leave a sheer, silky layer and a soft wash of color. As for Baroque, it is a very subtle color, a shade darker than the color of my lid, so I like to wear it alone with some kohl and mascara most of the time. I do, however, like to pair it with warm matte browns in the crease when I want to add a little something extra.

Overall, Baroque is an extremely natural looking, lovely soft taupy brown, that works well to even out skin tone and add just a teeny tiny hint of color. It is one of the most natural looking shades for medium/dark skin tones. The color isn't dramatically different from my skin tone when blended out and the buildable texture feels extremely lightweight and comfortable on lids!

Have you tried the Becca Eye Tint in Baroque?

  2. I like natural on my lids. Do you think I would have to use a flesh toned primer like Stila Prime Pot, or MAC Groundwork?

    1. The color is quite sheer itself and fleshy toned, so I don't think you'll need a primer. But, I tried it over a cream/white base and it was much true to color. On bare lids, there's only a verrry subtle difference :D
