A simple, everyday face of the day with a sheer wash of shimmer on the eyes and peachy pink on the lips. I've mostly used long wear and cream products on my eyes and cheeks with a subtle pop of color on my lips.
Face - Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide in Suntan, Bobbi brown Corrector in Peach and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger, all of my usual, everyday favorites. I skipped powder since the foundation is a tad on the matte side. For my cheeks, I used the Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush - its a fabulous formula and a gorgeous color as well! I also added a bit of Burberry's Fresh Glow Powder in Nude Radiance to add a bit of a dewy glow.
Eyes - I used a bunch of new stuff for my eyes that I'd mostly been testing out all these days. A couple of new products from Vincent Longo - the Starlette Gel Eye Stain in Mink Dream which I used as a base, mostly because its quite sheer and has a bit of shimmer going on and the Creme Gel Eyeliner in Flamenco as an all over shadow wash. I love the cream/gel eyeliner - its quite shimmery, but does not budge or fade through the day. I quite like it as a shadow than as a liner though and is best blended with fingers.
I used MAC's Feline Eye Kohl, another favorite that I recently re-purchased, along the lash and waterlines, lightly smudged, and completed the look with another recent find, the Laura Mercier's Waterproof Mascara over lashes curled with Dior's Backstage Lash Curler. Its a pretty nice mascara for length and separation, but could be a bit more volumizing on my lashes. The formula is a tad dry initially and gets better with use and is waterproof. I love the packaging as well. On my brows, I used the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Natural Eye Brow Pencil in Natural Black, which is more of a softer brown-black - I was sent Natural Beige which I recently featured along with the fall' 14 collection, which was a bit light for me, but the folks at Elizabeth Arden were kind enough to send me another shade to try out, which is now perfect for my dark-ish brows. Its one definite re-purchase I have on my list!
On my lips, I just dabbed on a bit of the very pigmented Creme Smooth Lip Color in Strawberry Sorbet by Laura Mercier and topped it with my absolute favorite Maybelline Color Elixir in Caramel Infused! Its an easy peasy look with some amount of subtle shimmer without going too overboard. I don't use highlighters on a regular basis, but this one by Burberry is too subtle and natural looking when used with a light hand and would work as an all over powder on very light skintones too.
