Alima Pure Lip Tint ($14; alimapure.com; detoxmarket.com is a sheer moisturizing lip balm with a nice wash of color in a semi matte finish. The formula is very nourishing, feels like a weightless, non waxy lip balm and the packaging too is nice and simple. Poppy and Peony are newer colors, Poppy being a brick red and Peony, a fresh pink. Both go on quite sheer and the color can be built up to a medium tint that looks quite natural, yet covers uneven lip pigmentation. They wear comfortably through the day and don’t dry my lips out. The formula does tend to harden a little bit overtime because of the oils and waxes, so be sure to warm it up a little before use. That apart, they are very effortless, easy lip balms for the summer that can even be used underneath lipsticks to add an extra layer of hydration.
