Idôle Eau De Parfum Nectar ($102; lancome-usa.com) is Lancome’s newest fragrance launch, a beautifully sweet gourmand fragrance with notes of roses, vanilla, caramel and popcorn. It's the most unique and also one of the stronger ones in the Idole family and perfect for the holiday season. The opening is sweet, floral sans the headiness since the rose feels comforting and sophisticated. While I don’t get a lot of the popcorn notes, I do get the vanilla and caramel during the dry down. It's a creamy, cozy scent that lasts the whole day on me. If you have a sensitive nose, this can get a little overwhelming as it does lean quite strong, but isn’t cloyingly sweet. The bottle, much like other Idole fragrances, is very sleek and beautifully designed. I think this makes for a fabulous gift for any beauty or fragrance lover and is a great gourmand to add to your fragrance list.
