bareMinerals Degrees Of Dazzling Holiday 2013

bareMinerals' Degrees Of Dazzling ($79; bareminerals.com) is a gorgeous new holiday set that comes with 20 of the brand's eye colors in four finishes - Velvet (Creamy Matte), High Shine ( Metallic & Shimmery finishes), Glimmers (Glitter), Liner Shadows (a mix of matte & metallic, shimmery finishes). *Press Sample

The packaging is beautiful and the shadows are small and easy to store, even out the packaging. They are all loose shadows, so if you are clumsy like me, it could be messy, with the fall out, especially from the shimmery shades. I haven't used them all, but have tried one from every finish and the High Shine finish is my favorite. Its a tad shimmery, but the texture is smooth, blendable and the colors are stunning. I also love the liner/shadows - the colors are beautiful as a liner & as an all over lid color. The glimmers are very glittery, have the most fallout and they aren't too pigmented, but they are nice for when you want just a pop of shine on your lids and work well with fingers than with brushes. The Velvets are all matte - its subtle, great for everyday as a sheer wash. I would definitely recommend a primer with these eyeshadows and if you don't want color all over the place every time you open them, try not removing the seal completely.

  1. Velvet Charcoal, Deep sea shine, and yoga liner. shadow are my favorite colors! I think this set was very very worth it and I've been tempted to buy a few single pots of their rich bronzey neutral shades but haven't!
